Want to switch to clean electricity? (upcoming webinar!)

by | September 2, 2022

I’m excited to announce that our next webinar will be focused on helping you go solar.

It’ll be on Wednesday, September 14th at 1 pm ET so sign up here if you’d like to join!

We want to help make it as easy as possible for you to make the switch and start powering your home with clean electricity (and save money!).

That’s why we recently partnered with EnergySage who are second-to-none when it comes to making the solar process easier, more transparent, and much cheaper (20% lower prices on average) for homeowners and renters alike.

I’ve been a huge fan and recommending them to people ever since I used their (100% free) solar marketplace and unbiased energy advisors back in 2018 to help my parents go solar.

Seriously, their educational resources, energy advisors, and marketplace that collects and compares quotes from local, vetted solar companies (without giving them your contact info) made everything so much easier and helped me feel confident that we were making the best possible decision for us.

(Think of them as a mix of Expedia and Consumer Reports but for solar panels, solar installers, and financing options. And fyi – they’re only in the US right now, but expect to be global in the future!)

Sign up for the webinar to learn:

  • Where the US residential solar industry stands.
  • How much solar costs now and how much you can expect to save.
  • How to determine which solar option is right for you (e.g. should you buy with cash, buy with a loan, lease, or sign up for community solar?)
  • Best practices: the most important things to understand and consider when making this decision.
  • Answers to the most common questions people have.
  • How to use EnergySage’s solar marketplace & pick the best option for you (demo).

For those who are unable to join us for the webinar or want to get a head start on your solar journey, you can begin exploring what the best solar options are for you here.

And for those who can make it, please do come with questions for the Q&A and spread the good word to any friends, family, or neighbors in the US who may be interested! We hope to see you there!

The importance of clean electricity in minimizing your carbon footprint

If you want to minimize your carbon footprint, there are hundreds of things you could do. It’s overwhelming. But not all these things are equal. In fact, there are really just a small handful of actions you can take that will get you most of the way there.

Many of these major actions fall under the two-part strategy of electrifying everything and switching to 100% clean electricity to power it all.

Electrifying everything means upgrading all the health-harming, planet-heating things you use in or around your house (think: fossil-fuel-powered cooking machines, cars, boilers, furnaces, water heaters, dryers, etc.) to their electric counterparts that are more efficient, will save you money, and *bonus* don’t poison the air you and your family breathe.

Powering everything with 100% clean electricity in a way that saves you money usually means getting solar panels on your roof or signing up for community solar.

And that’s what we want to help you do in this webinar 🙂

So we hope to see you Wednesday, September 14th at 1 pm ET!
