Questions & quotes – I want to hear from you!
I don’t know about you but I’m a little overwhelmed with everything happening (and not happening) in the climate space right now…not to mention the democracy space.
You know, the little things.
Anyway, you already know what I think about those.
This week I want to hear from you.
Because I love reading your messages, getting to know y’all a bit better, and continuing to figure out ways to make this newsletter more useful for you.
So here are some questions I have for you – take your pick!
- How are you feeling? What are you worried about? Excited about?
- What did you think of last week’s novel of a newsletter imagining the better future world we’re working to build? Is there anything I missed that you’d add to the vision?
- Where are you in your climate journey? What are you working on right now? What are you trying to figure out? (just this week I spoke with someone working on a climate action plan for their local government, and someone else who decided to transition into a career in climate!)
- Do you have any questions or topics you’d like me to address in a future newsletter, podcast, or CS community meeting?
If you care to share, let me know in the CS slack #general channel or by replying to this email!
Lastly, I haven’t shared random quotes in ages. And I love quotes. So here are a few I think you may appreciate:
“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity” – Albert Einstein
“There are no passengers on spaceship earth. We are all crew.” ― Marshall Mcluhan
“We must each lead a way of life with self-awareness and compassion, to do as much as we can. Then, whatever happens we will have no regrets.” – Dalai Lama
“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.” – Jordan Belfort
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” – Maya Angelou
Hey there Ryan, just came across your newsletter, and I would love to tell you a bit about where we’re at with our climate journey. I’m Ilanit, from Israel, living in China for the past 2.5 years. Joined with an Israeli company that makes a difference for the past 30 years. I was thinking I’m heading back home, but than I understood that to make a change I need to be at the one place that it matters. 1.4 billion people… That’s a huge mass, and difference. We are SD Eco focuses on Net-Zero GHG emissions, Organic Matter selected recycling, facilitating, tracking, and controlling Urban and industry wastage disposal/by-products. Generate sustainable solutions under the Circular Economy Concept “Zero Wastage”. Provides Smart Tech Solutions to redirect & abate food wastage, rediverting “high nutritional wastage” into high quality and safe livestock feed.
Tried to make it as short as possible, and we just got started here. It’s still a long journey to go, but we are certain of the change we can make.
Would love to continue reading you and subscribe to future newsletters.
Thank you for caring
Ilanit
