Climate Truth or Dare?

Check out this short, fun, and inspirational video

Megan Herbert is a talented illustrator. Back in September, she couldn’t make it to the global climate strike. Instead she made a 90-second video and wrote this:

“I wasn’t able to strike today, which initially bummed me out.

But then I remembered there are so many ways I/you/we can do something about the climate emergency. All important.

So I made an animation about it <3 “

Bottom line: We all have our own unique skills. Use whatever it is that you’re good at for climate action.

$250,000 for climate solution initiatives.

The 2020 Keeling Curve Prize is now open and will award $25,000 apiece to 10 winning projects that will help bend the Keeling Curve (CO2 in the atmosphere) downward the fastest.

There will be 10 winners. Each gets $25,000.

There will be two winners for each of the following categories:

  • Capture & Utilization
  • Energy
  • Finance
  • Social & Cultural Pathways
  • Transport & Mobility

So, if you or someone you know is working on a truly impactful solution to help stop global warming (and could use $25,000), apply online or spread the good word.

One quick application for a chance to win $25,000. No strings attached.

FYI: I write the KCP’s quarterly newsletter at the moment to help out and make a little money. They’re basically on the same mission as me – and are fantastic people 🙂

Truth or dare?

Dare

If you enjoyed that video, or think the Keeling Curve Prize is awesome, I dare you to share it

with more people than you would typically feel comfortable doing 😉

Truth

Everyone’s relationship with the climate crisis is messy, confusing, and covers a range of emotions. This is completely natural. It’s an enormous and tricky issue that touches nearly everything in our past, present, and future.

I want to catch a glimpse of it through your eyes.

Tell me your climate truth, whatever that means to you.
